Excelitas Launches pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS Camera Offering High-Sensitivity, High-Speed Imaging in a Compact, Air-Cooled Design

10.4 MPixel sCMOS camera provides advanced performance and low-noise precision for research and industrial inspection—without the need for liquid cooling

Excelitas Launches pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS Camera Offering High-Sensitivity, High-Speed Imaging in a Compact, Air-Cooled DesignExcelitas®, a leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies that make a difference, serving global market leaders in the life sciences, advanced industrial, next-generation semiconductor and avionics sectors, today introduced the pco.pixelfly™ 10 bi CLHS camera. This next generation sCMOS imaging solution delivers exceptional image quality in a compact, air-cooled housing, offering laboratories and OEM integrators a cost-effective, high-performance alternative for precision imaging in a space efficient design.

Engineered for exceptional image quality and ease of integration, pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS captures fine detail across a 23 mm sensor diagonal at full 4416 × 2368-pixel resolution and up to 57 frames per second, enabling accurate visualization of fast processes and dynamic events. Its air-cooled design eliminates the complexity and maintenance of liquid cooling while maintaining industry-leading low-noise performance for superior data fidelity in demanding environments.

“By combining the proven performance of back-illuminated sCMOS technology with a simplified, compact platform, the pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS delivers the imaging power our customers expect at a more accessible price point,” said Alexander Grünig, Director, Advanced Imaging Systems at Excelitas. “It’s ideally suited for scientific research, semiconductor inspection and machine-vision systems where clarity, reliability and cost efficiency must align.”

Available in monochrome or color versions, the camera integrates seamlessly into new and existing systems via its standard CLHS interface, providing high-speed, reliable data transfer for real-time analysis.

Key Product Features:

  • 10.4 MPixel back-illuminated sCMOS sensor (4416 × 2368 pixels, 23 mm sensor diagonal): Captures fine structural detail across a wide field of view.
  • High frame rate (57 fps @ full resolution): Ensures accurate recording of dynamic processes without motion blur.
  • Air-cooled design: Simplifies integration, lowers maintenance and increases system reliability.
  • CLHS interface: Provides robust, high-throughput data transfer for industrial and research environments.
  • Available in monochrome and color versions: Flexible for both measurement and true-color imaging applications.

Designed for life-sciences imaging, semiconductor metrology, industrial quality inspection and machine vision, the new pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS bridges the gap between premium scientific imaging systems and budget-conscious research or manufacturing settings.
