Excelitas Unveils pco.hsr 8x25 CLHS Recorder for Continuous, Lossless Capture of Ultra-High-Speed Events
Next-generation high-speed recorder delivers up to 200 Gbit/s throughput, multi-camera support and uninterrupted recording for a range of scientific and industrial applications
Excelitas®, a leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies that make a difference, serving global market leaders in the life sciences, advanced industrial, next-generation semiconductor and avionics sectors, today launched the pco.hsr 8x25 CLHS Recorder. This new generation high-speed recording system uniquely combines extreme data throughput with uninterrupted recording. When paired with a PCO® high-speed camera, it ensures continuous data acquisition of ultra-fast processes with zero loss for demanding industrial inspection and research and development applications.
Built on a stable, FPGA-based architecture, the pco.hsr 8x25 CLHS streams data directly to its high-endurance SSD storage, eliminating the bottlenecks and speed limitations of conventional computers with frame grabbers. With an unprecedented transfer bandwidth of up to 200 Gbit/s, the pco.hsr 8x25 CLHS supports up to eight cameras simultaneously, offering synchronized multi-camera workflows for complex test setups and production environments.
“The pco.hsr 8x25 CLHS addresses a fundamental challenge in high-speed imaging: capturing extreme-speed events continuously and reliably over extended periods,” said Alexander Grünig, Director, Advanced Imaging Systems at Excelitas. “It is the perfect addition to our product portfolio. With its plug-and-play design and seamless integration into our PCO Software Suite, data can be accessed easily and remotely without the need for complex computer systems.”
Key product features:
- Extreme speed and continuous capture: Records up to 200 Gbit/s with seamless, lossless data flow, capturing even the fastest transient events through a stable, FPGA-based streaming architecture.
- High-endurance SSD storage: Provides 8 TB solid-state storage to deliver the capacity and throughput required to handle massive image data streams from high-speed cameras.
- Multi-camera connectivity and efficient workflow: Scalable multi-camera connectivity via eight dedicated 25G fiber-optic channels, built to support demanding setups, integrating seamlessly with all PCO CLHS camera models.
Excelitas will display the pco.hsr 8x25 CLHS Recorder from January 20 – 22, 2026 at SPIE Photonics West 2026 in San Francisco, CA at Booth #637. For additional information, visit: https://www.excelitas.com/product/pcohsr-8x25-clhs-image-recorder.
